President's Day Spent with a Juicy Burger

What’s more American than a big, juicy, Angus beef cheese burger? I thought it was appropriate to celebrate President’s Day by treating myself to some good ole American comfort food. I ventured out into the wintry, windy city of Chicago, hopped on the red line and got off at the North/Clybourn stop to end up in one of the most fun, energetic burger joints in the city, Burger Bar! The ambiance was electric, the service was spectacular, and the vibe was off the charts. Although, if you are not a fan of loud music, I suggest finding another place to eat. The decor was fun, creative and colorful. The lighting was perfect as burger bars go and as a customer you are automatically drawn to their craft beers and burgers which are clearly the pride and joy of the restaurant.

Burger Bar's Coveted Bacon Cheeseburger

I ordered The Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of fries and chipotle aioli to add a little spice to the meal. As seen in the picture, this burger is massive! What makes this place even more appealing is that all their burgers are USDA prime, top notch beef (sorry to all the vegetarians and vegans reading this). Because I am underage, I did not order a beer to wash it down with, but an ice cold glass of water is just as good, if not better to cleanse the palette. Overall, I had a great time and a more than satisfactory President’s day meal at the Burger Bar. I highly recommend it to burger lovers everywhere in the Chicago area!
