Hop Hop Hop down to Public House for a festive Easter treat! This April the Public House, located on State street just north of the river, is serving their extravagant “cake shake” that they are famous for. This sweet treat called the “Bunny Hop Cake Shake” is set apart from other milkshakes by the large piece of cake that is added to top it off. Besides that, it is decorated with pastel M&M’s and a couple of Peeps with Rolo’s under, sticking out the sides.

Public House has not only these cakeshakes, but serves an American Style brunch, lunch, and dinner. Beware of going for dinner after five o’clock though, as it becomes a bar and you need to be 21+ to enter. The food as well as the shake bring back hungry people with both delicious food and drink. When I went for brunch, I ordered the Easter cakeshake, and a breakfast sandwich as seen in the picture. Don’t be fooled by how small the cup looks, this cakeshake alone could feed a herd of people as well as the other meals they serve.

My friend Emma (pictured) and I definitely took a to-go box and you may as well the next time you are there. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a restaurant to take an out of towner to go to. Even if you don’t end up getting a cakeshake, you can see them passing by any time of the year as they keep up with the seasons and are always mouth watering.
