Hey guys! This past Valentine’s day I wanted to do date night but I waited a little to long to find a place to eat. In my rush to find a restaurant I went with something consistent, reliable, and great tasting. You really can not go wrong with Benihana. They provide fantastic food cooked right in front of you! Who doesn’t like dinner and a show? I had the Emperor’s feast. A six course meal with tenderloin, chicken, fried rice, hibachi vegetables, Benihana salad, hibachi shrimp appetizer, Benihana soup, and your choice of ice cream. This complete meal will fill you stomach with the perfect amount of food for a nice post-meal nap. This place is an incising place for date night but some people are pushed away due to the price and the fact that you are seated with out parties. I have to say sitting with a group of six and only knowing 1 other person at the table was a deterrent at first but within seconds of being seated it was evident that the communal seating would not be a problem. It was actually fun! My date and I made a game out it, guessing where our table mates were coming from and what their relationship dynamic were. I would have to agree that although Benihana is a great spot for a date night it is on the pricey side. I would recommend only going here on a special occasion. Unless of course money is not an object for you. in that case, GO CRAZY! The dinner and a show aspect of the Benihana definitely makes for an entertaining dinning experience perfect for a date because it sparks conversation. Benihana does not use the flashy cooking of the chef to mask the food in any way. The meal is superb. Meat cooked to perfection and vegetables you would normally slide off the table and feed to the dog are made into a delectable entree complete. Overall a great Valentine’s Day if you don’t mind smelling like beef post meal.
