On Saturday, March 30, 2019 I sat down with Will Song, restaurant owner, and esteemed chef at the infamous bopNgrill, located just off the Belmont red line stop in Boystown, Chicago. In this interview we covered many subjects relating to his restaurant from what inspired and motivated him to open bopNgrill to his claim to fame being featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives with Guy Fiery. BopNgrill is a casual dining Korean American fusion restaurant that serves the meanest kimchi fries and delectable philly egg rolls. Will opened the very first bopNgrill in Evanston in 2009. Since then, he has relocated to two locations, Loyola and Belmont and plans on expanding in the near future. At both these locations they serve flavorful, creative burgers and mouthwatering Korean bulkogi. The decor is simple, yet eye-catching and the atmosphere is friendly and energetic. It is evident that Will Song works hard - constantly cultivating his love for cooking and his talent for superb, unwavering hospitality.
